Who we are
Black Creek Builders is a licensed general contracting company specializing in vintage Bay Area homes and commercial construction. Founder Travis Wirt is a Bay Area native with the desire to provide uncompromised craftsmanship and customer service.

Travis is a 3rd generation builder with experience in all aspects of building and contracting. Together with the team of expert plumbers, electricians and carpenters at Black Creek Builders, we draw on a lifetime of experience to offer an exceptional range of services.

Projects range from new construction to complete remodeling, as well as interior/exterior home maintenance and repair. From foundations to finish carpentry, our team performs all design (if desired) and installation.

Because we don't rely on subcontractors, jobs can be completed more efficiently, costs kept under control and quality carefully monitored and maintained.

Personal touches, attention to fine detail and outstanding service are inherent in every project.

The Builders
Our building team is composed of tradesmen with many decades of combined experience in carpentry, general contracting, design, plumbing, electrical, and energy systems. Supervisors directly manage day to day project access, our own builders, and any subcontractors.

The Administrators
Staff at headquarters are administrative, finance, customer service and office management experts. They bring years of hands-on experience that keep things flowing smoothly with organized, accurate project documentation. They answer any questions you have and co-ordinate project communication and followup.

All Black Creek employees are encouraged to pursue individual and professional growth. We support continuing education in college or tradecraft.

Our community is unique
The Bay Area’s unique architectural heritage includes Victorian, Edwardian, Mission Revival, Craftsman, and Modern styles.

It is critical to work with build teams that understand the architectural style of your home.

Bay Area structures require a wide range of supplies. We know where to find high quality and cost effective materials, from matching antique fixtures, to just-in-time duct manufacturing.

We source products and materials from large and small companies around the nation. We like working with our own highly skilled colleagues and vendors, and think you should too.
